F1 fever is hitting Miami in full swing. With F1 stars and fans arriving in Miami for the weekend, what better way to win over the city, which has some deep footballing roots, than with some football drills, starring F1 drivers! While the intention may have been to win over Dolphins fans, it ended up giving Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc an insight into a potential new career prospect.

Quite a few drivers came to the Hard Rock Stadium to engage in an obstacle course face-off against their teammates. Logan Sargeant, who gream up close to the Miami Dolphins’ home, was soundly defeated by Williams’ teammate Alex Albon, who probably never threw a football in his life before. The entire event had some pretty hilarious moments. Including when commentator David Croft attempted the course.
Charles Leclerc thinks he has found a new career for himself after F1
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz faced off against each other on the obstacle course at the Hard Rock Stadium. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he had a pretty slow start, which allowed the Monagasque to win by a massive margin. Though thoroughly out of breath, Leclerc found himself contemplating a possible scenario where he plays professional football.
“Got a new career!” Leclerc said to Crofty. “after being a musician, and a racing driver, I can be an NFL player”. Leclerc was also quick to note that Miami is a very hot place and admitted that the obstacle course in itself was harder than driving. Maybe some of the QBs can try a hand at driving a Ferrari?
The Hard Rock Stadium will house the Miami GP’s paddock
Unlike last year, when the F1 paddock was squeezed into the space between the stadium and the pitlane, this year will see the paddock conquest the gridiron. In an already saturated calendar, the close connection between the Dolphins and the Miami GP could just set it apart. Especially with the potential addition in fan numbers such a collaboration brings.
For Ferrari, though, their goal will be to make sure they put up a decent fight in Miami. Leclerc himself has acknowledged that they are much slower than the Red Bulls. That being said, the Ferraris have been wrestling with issues of durability and performance. Which have straight-up sabotaged some of their races. Will Leclerc start Ferrari’s redemption arc in Miami? Or will he have to start practicing his throwing skills?
