Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is an absolute enigma. However, one of the most controversial personalities in the world of football, is also one of the most talented quarterbacks active in the competition at the moment. After months of uncertainty around his future in the competition, it was recently revealed that he is finally headed to the New York Jets.

While Aaron had made it clear weeks ago that he wants to move away from Green Bay and play for the Jets, the parties involved continued taking a lot of time to finalize the trade. With just a couple of days left in the draft, Aaron fans were getting very anxious. Well, they can relax now as A-Rod is now their leading man.

Aaron Rodgers almost gave up football to become a lawyer

As expected, the Jets went all out to rope in Aaron Rodgers. After all, trading for the highest paid quarterback of the previous season is never an inexpensive affair. They ended up giving a lot of picks to the Packers who’ll be happy with the deal as they have Jordan Love to start for them.

Looking at Aaron’s annual salary, his $200 million net worth, his astounding NFL stats, and his demand in the competition even during the final stages of the career, one might think that the star QB must have never contemplated quitting on football even before entering into the NFL. However, that’s not the case.

In an interview with Barstool Sports, Rodgers had once revealed that he almost gave up on football to pursue a career as a lawyer or probably as a baseball player. However, he succeeded in keeping the fire needed to be a sportsman alive within him. “When I think about it, there was like one day that kind of course corrected everything,Rodgers had stated.

It was in February of 2002, and the baseball coach, who had been my JV football coach, had been kind of prodding me to maybe come out and play baseball and pitch. And that one day, I think, changed my, kind of turned back on my competitive fire,” he had added.

Just when Aaron’s fire started to die down, he got the right direction, right atmosphere needed to become a champion sportsperson. From humbly beginning his college football journey from Butte Community College, Rodgers went on to play for the University of California in one year’s time. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Aaron Rodgers loves to tease his fans

Aaron Rodgers just loves to keep his fans and the insiders guessing all the time. The 4x MVP told his pal Pat McAfee a few weeks back that he felt 90% retired before going for the retreat. While Rodgers went on to claim that he realized that he has lot left to explore on the field, his statement surely made Jets fans worried that he might abandon them after just one year.

Ultimately, the Jets got what they wanted, the Packers would feel happy as they have received a lot in return after giving Rodgers away. And most importantly, Rodgers would be super delighted as he got his wish fulfilled. It will be interesting to see how he eventually ends up performing in the coming season.
