Subrata Pal-North East FC
The goal keeper last played for Mumbai FC and has been recently drafted into the squad. The Arjuna Award winner will add much-needed experience to the side. He started training at the renowned Tata Football academy, and was a regular in the Mohun Bagan side at the young age of 18. Right now aged 29, he is the perfect choice for any team and will provide support not only on the field but off as well.
Didier Zokora-North East FC
The iconic player from Ivory coast is the marquee player for North East FC. He holds the distinction of being the most capped player for his country and last played for Pune FC. The mid-fielder has also played for Tottenham Hotspur and Sevilla. The team will expect him to carry the young side along and lead them to the title. Zokora has already won Football League cup and Copa Del Rey and would like to add ISl title to his trophy cabinet.
Katsumi Yusa-North East FC
Another key signing this season is that of Japanese stalwart Katsumi Yusa. His addition will be a huge boast for the midfield, particularly with his Indian football experience with Mohun Bagan. He is currently one of the most sound and strategically crucial midfielder in the Indian football arena and thus his combination with Didier Zokora will be interesting to watch.
Sietyasen Singh-North East FC
The Indian winger is one of the most exciting players to watch out for. He has an excellent ability to make crosses and is fast on his feet. He is supremely talented footballer and that is why the team management retained him this year. His contribution will decide how far North East FC goes in the tournament.
Nico Velez-North East FC
The Argentine joined last year and proved to be a valuable player for the franchise. He scored five goals, which made him the side’s top scorer. He is a natural goalscorer, and his instincts are visible on the pitch.In his second season of the ISL, Velez will look to do even better.He will get support from Didier Zokora and Katsumi Yusa. Velez will have a lot of responsibility this season, and he needs to regularly get among the goals for NorthEast to have any chance of progressing through to the business end of the tournament.
