Paul Pogba has had an impressive World Cup, and has triggered interest from the Catalan giants.

France international Paul Pogba made a world record transfer back in 2016 to 20 time English champions Manchester United.

The 25 year old midfielder has been a star in Les Bleus’ World Cup campaign and is certain to start the final on Sunday against Croatia. However, in the build-up to the 2018 World Cup Final, there are reports arising that Paul Pogba has been offered to Catalan giants Barcelona.

This news comes from media outlets of Spain and England- namely Mundo Deportivo and Mirror UK. There is a bold claim that super-agent Mino Raiola was spotted in Barcelona this week. The main agenda was to discuss information related to his candidates with Josep Bartomeu and in his club’s youth system.

During the discussion, there was also a statement made by Raiola that offered his client Pogba to the Spanish champions.

Now Barcelona have been linked to a host of midfielders after the exits of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho to South East Asia and also the circles over Andre Gomes’ and Denis Suarez’s futures with the club.

Pogba’s French teammate N’Golo Kante has also been linked with a move to the Camp Nou aside of PSG’s star midfield duo of Adrien Rabiot and Marco Veratti.

Pogba has been brilliant in this World Cup and is deservedly the centre of attention, yet, he comes into the new season on the back of a turbulent season. Towards the business end of 2017/18, there were rumours of a rift between the versatile midfielder and manager Jose Mourinho.

While there is nothing concrete about the deal yet, Paul Pogba was also on Barcelona’s radar in 2015 when he was at Juventus. However, he preferred a move to the north of England a year later.
