2 minutes were added into the match at the end of the allotted 45 minutes. A Hermosa foul just outside the box on Juventus’ Bentancur gave Juventus a free kick. The spotkick was interestingly taken by Dybala instead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dybala repaid the trust placed in him by engineering and excellent shot at a tight angle with just enough power to beat Jan Oblak. While Oblak will feel that he could have done better, most would forgive him considering the beauty the beauty that Dybala had just produced, was incredibly hard to beat.

The match failed to live to the expectations. Two of Europe’s most exciting sides put on display such a low-quality match. Juventus only had 6 shots in the match while Atletico Madrid registered 15. Although, both sides only mustered 2 shots on target each. Juventus were lucky that one of them was an outrageous free kick.
With neither team adding to the scoreboard in the 2nd half, Juventus won the match 1-0. With this win, they have now assured themselves a top place finish in the group while the next Champions league encounters will decide which one of Bayer or Atletico Madrid will play in the Champions League and who will drop down to the Europa.
