PCB propose a new venue for a possible Ind-Pak cricket series

Pakistan just won’t quit, as the PCB propose a new venue for a possible Ind-Pak cricket series in the future. Even though the BCCI has repeatedly told their Pakistan counterparts that there exists no chance any cricketing ties between the two countries, the PCB will not be deterred as they look for an alternative solution.

Unfortunately, the root cause for all this is terrorism. The Indian government, and rightly so, has decided to boycott any form of sporting interaction between the two countries. This will remain the official line as long as Pakistan continue to foster terrorism in the world. The government has point blank refused any cricketing action between the two countries, while terrorist activities still occur across the border.

The BCCI’s refusal to play any bilateral series with Pakistan has apparently created huge financial losses for the PCB. PCB have threatened BCCI that they could go to court, unless they are paid a financial compensation. But the BCCI have said that they will do no such thing, which is why the Pakistan cricket board is desperately trying for an alternative solution.

There will be a cricket tournament that will occur in Florida, between India, Australia and South Africa in the very near future. The PCB is asking the BCCI if they could possibly squeeze in as the fourth team in this tournament. But the BCCI have remained adamant that they will not be able to accommodate Pakistan, as there is hardly any time left for talks to be held between the two countries.

This is what a BCCI official said,

“There were talks of playing each other in multilateral events. But chances of Pakistan playing in Florida are minimal because the window is short, but Sri Lanka could be a possibility. We have had talks on this before,” a board official said.
