Controversial and out-spoken, Piers Morgan is not one to shy away from criticism. A social media celebrity, Morgan is constantly in the news for his opinionated outbursts against several notable personalities.

Morgan is also a huge cricket fan, who follows the fortunes of the English team religiously which is why it was no surprise that he was furious with Ben Stokes after his alleged brawl outside a night club a few nights ago.

Today, CCTV footage has come out which shows Stokes assaulting a couple of drunk clubbers. The video is damming proof that Stokes was indeed involved in a physical scuffle, which is why he was arrested by the police.
Ben Stokes video is damning.
Can't see how he possibly makes Ashes tour now, let alone remain Vice-Captain. https://t.co/MxcuIsxS9R— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 27, 2017
Wow… how can Andrew 'Mr Discipline' Strauss possibly justify that? https://t.co/wrJExEketE

I love Ben Stokes but how can he keep vice-captaincy?
Flintoff was sacked as England V-C for getting on a pedalo, not punching people.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 27, 2017
No, but you have to be consistent with punishment.
KP banned for life for whistling, Flintoff sacked for getting on a pedalo. https://t.co/1iP0hlQ2Uw— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) September 27, 2017
Morgan is clearly appalled by the actions of the English vice-captain and rightly so.
One of the reasons why Piers is so vocal about the hypocrisy behind Stokes’ relative punishment is because he was a big supporter of Kevin Pieterson when he got sacked from the team.
KP was removed from the team after he had allegedly sent messages to opposition teams about match tactics. While KP vehemently refused such claims, it all fell to deaf ears as he never played for England ever again.
Morgan still believes that KP got a rough deal, as he did nothing to deserve a life-ban. Andrew Strauss was the captain of the English team during KP’s scandal, and is currently the team director of the English side.
Morgan does have a point though. If KP and Flintoff were removed from the team, how can Ben Stokes still be in the side and as a vice-captain to boot?
