Another update from police on Emiliano Sala’s recovery.
Emiliano Sala, who met his teammates at Nantes after sealing a move to Cardiff City earlier this week has crashed along with the plane and the pilot. There has been no trace of mobile data or even broken part of the plane which were visible to the police department who have been searching over the last two days.
However, a post on Twitter suggested that there were flares from Burhou Island which is near Alderney.
I hope Emiliano Sala and pilot are still alive!!! Flares are came from Burhou Island, near Alderney and I guess if they landed here, it’s a abandoned hut and they live here nowadays.

John Fitzgerald, of Channel Islands Air Search, was quick to deny those reports to Welsh Online “It is really a puffin reserve, it is tiny but you can land on it.
“The plane and helicopters have been over many times since Monday night, but they haven’t seen anything in that area. It is only a few hundred metres long and it has been saturated by helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
“We are airborne at the moment searching in that area. The flares I have seen pictures of are most likely aircraft trails.”
Guernsey police resumed their search this morning, but they have not been able to find any trace of the aircraft or the people who were on board. After a relentless search, they decided to call it quits unless there is a “Significant development”.
The statement also adds on that the chances of surviving are very less.
1.20pm update
The island of Burhou has been searched by foot. No trace of the aircraft or those on board has been found.
Further information will be released once it is available.

Football agent Mark Mckay said he was involved in travel arrangements for Emiliano Sala whose flight apparently crashed down in the sea.
“I can confirm that when Emiliano made myself and his agent Meissa N’Diaye aware that he wished to travel back to Nantes following his medical and signing on Friday, I began to look into arranging a private flight to take him to Nantes on Saturday morning.
“That evening, it was confirmed a plane was available to fly Emiliano on Saturday which could remain in Nantes until he was due to return to Cardiff.
“I have been in contact with officials from Cardiff and the player’s agent over these difficult past few days and will continue to do so.”
It is truly heartbreaking news for everybody who prayed for his wellness after the news erupted that he and other passengers fell into the water body. Despite 80 hours of search, there has been no trace of it.
