TheSportsRush brings Manchester City’s expected lineup vs Fulham as they case Liverpool and Chelsea at the top of the table.
Premier League’s defending champions, Manchester City, return from the international break to face newly-promoted Fulham side on the 5th match-day of the league.
Manchester City sit fourth in the Premier League table, having 3 wins and a draw from the first four games, while Fulham have won a solitary game along with one draw and two losses to sit 13th on the table.
Manchester City’s previous Premier League game saw them defeating Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium, where Rahim Sterling and Kyle Walker helped the Cityzens secure a 2-1 victory.
Pep Guardiola’s men now will face Fulham, as TheSportsRush presents the predicted line-up for the defending champions of England.
Despite Guardiola having opted various tactics and formations against various sides, it is expected that the Spanish manager will lead a 4-1-3-2 formation against Fulham.
Defence:
Standing in goal for Manchester City will be the outstanding body of Ederson, who has impressed one and all with his goal-keeping skills since his arrival from Benfica last summer. It will be a no-brainer that the 25-year-old will start for City.
In defense will be the strong back-line of John Stones and Aymeric Laporte, who have played well as central defenders for Guardiola’s men. Vincent Kompany will be another option for Guardiola, however, considering the status of the opponent, the manager might not risk the fragile captain of the club.
Benjamin Mendy and Kyle Walker are expected to be the full-backs for the game, with both of them capable of brilliant attacking runs while also having good defensive attributes.
Midfield:
Fernandinho is expected to be the lone defensive midfielder in the squad, while Raheem Sterling, David Silva and Riyad Mahrez are tipped to be ahead of him to complete the midfielders list.

Forward:
Pep Guardiola believes in the duo of Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero up front as the main attackers, and with the approach of Pep Guardiola and the weakness of the Fulham defense, the two beasts will be expected to pounce on their opponents.
