TheSportsRush brings Manchester United’s expected lineup vs Chelsea, as Jose Mourinho aims to bring United’s campaign back on track.
Manchester United travel to the Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Saturday for their match day nine clash of the Premier League. With Jose Mourinho’s job on the line, anything but a win would tighten the screws for the former Chelsea manager.
During his last two visits to west London as United’s manager, he has lost both times by 4-0 and 1-0 margins. Here’s a look at the line-up which will be vested with getting all three points.
DEFENCE
Manchester United’s defence has been far from top notch this season. The Red Devils have let past them a few cheap goals. However, David De Gea, who has made a few stunning saves as well, is expected to start.

Luke Shaw is a doubt to play due to an injury, meaning Ashley Young could start at left back with Antonio Valencia keeping his place on the right. Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof are likely to be the centre backs.
MIDFIELD
In the heart of the midfield usually stands Nemanja Matic. But the Serb is expected to sit out following an injury which means that Marouane Fellaini could be inserted at defensive midfield. Fred will play as well in a slightly advanced role while Paul Pogba will be authorized to start as well.

The Frenchman put in an inspiring display when United came back from 2-0 down against Newcastle United and will look to repeat the feat.
ATTACK
The Red Devils’ attack has been dismal this season. But there would be some relief for Mourinho after Alexis Sanchez ended his goal drought two weeks ago. The Chilean will start at the left wing.
Morning all. Chelsea away this Saturday. Stamford Bridge, our record is abysmal there. No Javier Hernandez to score an offside winner this time…but hoping for a similar result. Hell of a 6 game run coming up for both Man United and Jose Mourinho. pic.twitter.com/161VIfrwwT

Romelu Lukaku has always been sensational for Belgium, but has never been able to replicate his form for the Red Devils. Yet, he will also start as the striker while Anthony Martial is expected to play on the right wing.
