However, with the Premier League January Transfer window deadline set at 11 pm BST, there are still a number of deals that are up in the air and could be concluded by tonight. Let us look at possible deadline day signings of the Premier League big 6 in the January transfer window.

Tottenham

Incomings

Tottenham have made the loan signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis permanent on 28 January 2020. They also signed Steven Bergwijn from PSV in a deal worth a reported £27 million. Tottenham have bolstered their midfield too with the addition of Gedson Fernandes on an 18-month loan from Benfica with an option to buy.

Outgoings

The most notable of Tottenham’s departure was Christian Eriksen; who spent the last 6 and a half years with the club. With his contract at Tottenham set to expire in six months, he joined Inter Milan for €20m. Danny Rose has left the club on loan until the end of the season to Newcastle United.

Deadline day rumours

According to the Daily star, Tottenham have bid £23m for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. However, Southampton are likely to turn it down. The North London side are also working on the exit of Victor Wanyama from the club.

The Times have reported that Tottenham had been told that the signing of Willian Jose will cost them £31million by Real Sociedad as they scramble for a striker. In a surprising turn of events, Tottenham may turn to Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud before the deadline.

Manchester United

Incomings

Manchester United finally completed the signing of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon on Thursday for an initial cost of €55m plus other bonuses. The Portuguese is their lone signing for the Premier League club in the January transfer window so far.

Outgoings

Manchester United sent yet another player Inter Milan’s way. This time it was Ashley Young who took his business to the Italian side for €1.5m. Centre back Marcus Rojo has also been sent out, albeit on loan to Argentinean club Estudiantes.

Deadline Day Rumours

Manchester United are currently linked with Tottenham target Willian Jose. However, the Red Devils are pursuing a loan move instead of an outright purchase. The Daily Telegraph have reported that United have failed in their attempt to sign Bournemouth attacker Josh King.

United have also been linked with Jack Grealish and James Maddison. However, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes means United’s priority is now their attack. The Red Devils are reportedly looking for a loan move for Odion Ighalo and Islam Slimani. However, they could very well renew their interest in Edinson Cavani.

Manchester City

Incomings

True to Pep Guardiola’s words, Manchester City have not made any new addition this month.

Outgoings

The club also doesn’t have any names on the departure list.

Deadline Day Rumours

Manchester City, despite all their injuries they’ve faced this season, are not rumoured to make any prominent signing this winter.

Liverpool

Incomings

The Reds only signing in the January transfer window has been 24-year old Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg for €8.5m.

Outgoings

The club has not sold any player in this window so far.

Deadline Day Rumours

Despite being linked with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Timo Werner and even Kylian Mbappe earlier in the month. Liverpool are not linked with any player right now. It is highly unlikely that they would make an addition before the deadline.

Chelsea

Incomings

Despite having their transfer embargo revoked, Chelsea are yet to purchase a player so far.

Outgoings

Chelsea have not made any sales this January so far.

Deadline Day Rumours

Like Manchester United before them, Chelsea are linked with PSG wantaway Edinson Cavani. However, Frank Lampard’s need for a striker isn’t as immediate as Solskjaer’s. The Blues have also been linked with Napoli forward Dries Mertens and Lille Winger Boubakary Soumare.

Chelsea have also made early inquiries for Jadon Sancho. Frank Lampard is said to be keen on bringing in Moussa Dembele. The Blues boss sees similarities in him with his former teammate Didier Drogba. While Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be a fan of CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov.

With the Euro 2020 inching closer and Giroud is itching for more game time. It is likely that the French striker will leave the club. Both Tottenham and Inter Milan are said to be interested. Giroud is thought to prefer Tottenham as it keeps him in London while Chelsea do not want to sell to a Premier League rival.

Arsenal

Incomings

Arsenal have only added Centre back Pablo Mari from Flamengo on loan. They also have an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Outgoings

Arsenal are yet to sell any of their players in the January window so far.

Deadline Day Rumours

Arsenal are rumoured to bring in Southampton defender Cedric Soares on loan. In fact, the Saints manager has himself said that the door is open for Soares to leave. Southampton, he has said. are instead looking to develop their other players.

Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos, on loan with Arsenal, is rumoured to be itching for more game time in a bid to book his place for the Euro 2020. He is said to have asked Real Madrid to find him a new club.

This is everything we know so far about the Premier League January Transfer Window.
