Ramos' message for Ronaldo

Ramos’ message for Ronaldo: Sergio Ramos has given a classy reply to Ronaldo’s comments on Juventus being a ‘family.’

Real Madrid have started to make progress in the season since the appointment of Santiago Solari, as the side has climbed up to 4th in the league table.

After Zinedine Zidane’s resignation, the club appointed Julen Lopetegui in a controversial announcement, but parted ways with him after a series of disappointing performances, which ended with a crushing 5-1 loss at Camp Nou.

The side also underwent their worst goalless run in club’s history under Lopetegui. The absence of Cristiano Ronaldo left a significant void in the club’s offensive quality, and Real Madrid are yet to find a suitable replacement for the Portuguese star.

The Portuguese star recently gave an in-depth interview about his time at Real Madrid, where he stated that the team at Juventus is the ‘best group’ he has ever played with.

Sergio Ramos, meanwhile, commented on Ronaldo’s statements about Real Madrid. Earlier, Santiago Solari also commented on Ronaldo’s controversial interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ramos’ message for Ronaldo:

Cristiano Ronaldo, in the interview with the Italian outlet, stated that Juventus felt more like a family, while taking a jibe at Real Madrid.

“It isn’t right to name someone specific but I can say that this [Juventus] is the best group in which I’ve played. Here, we are a squad, elsewhere, some players feel bigger than the others.

“For me, it is beautiful, to feel that difference. Also at Madrid they are humble, but here I feel that sense more. It’s very different to Madrid, here it is more of a family.”

Sergio Ramos has now commented on Ronaldo’s statements about the club. He insisted that he refuses to believe the statements, as they came through the press.

“We have not heard Cristiano talk about Real Madrid,” the Real Madrid captain said. “The talks are from the press. We are happy that Cristiano is doing well.

“We always wish the best for those who did so well for us.”

He also talked about the situation surrounding Isco, who is speculated to leave Real Madrid, following lack of game time.

“Isco is another important player for us. The good thing about Real Madrid is competition.

“There are players like Ceballos who did not get a lot of minutes last season but this season they are playing. The level of demand is very high at Real Madrid and in the end its the coach’s decision.”
