Ravi Shastri and Narendra Modi engage in hilarious Twitter banter
Ravi Shastri has been one of the most recognized voices for Indian cricket over the years. He is so highly regarded that Sachin Tendulkar cited him as the best color commentator in cricket today. (Ravi Shastri and Narendra Modi engage in hilarious Twitter banter)
Over the years Shahstri has developed certain cliches that have now become his signature lines during cricket matches. One of the most common ones that you get to hear is the “tracer bullet” mention whenever a ball speeds its way to the boundary line.
While people have pulled his leg for using such phrases, nothing seems to deter him and rightly so since it has helped him create a distinct brand for himself. (Ravi Shastri and Narendra Modi engage in hilarious Twitter banter)
After the BJP handsomely won the UP elections, Ravi Shahstri took to Twitter to congratulate the party as well the PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. He called it a landslide victory and used his famous “tracer bullet” phrase in praise of the party.
Congratulations @BJP4India on the landslide win in UP. The pair of PM @narendramodi & @AmitShah went past 300-mark like a #TracerBullet

To the astonishment of many, the PM Narendra Modi replied to Shashtri’s tweet and used one of the commentator’s famous phrases in quite a witty manner.
Thank you. UP polls did not quite go down to the wire. But, at the end of the day democracy is indeed the real winner! 🙂 https://t.co/suoTqZtXit

“This match is going right down to the wire” is another of the Shastri’s famous phrases which Modi used in his tweet as a reply to Shastri himself.
This is not the first time that Modi has tweeted as he is well versed with social media and has been found to be quite active in it. But it certainly came as a surprise to many when he did reply to Shashtri ! (Ravi Shastri and Narendra Modi engage in hilarious Twitter banter)
