RCB vs DC 2019

RCB vs DC 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 20th match of IPL 2019.

The less said about RCB, the better!

They would try and be positive though. Thinking of MI’s comebacks in previous seasons should motivate them. This match against DC is extremely crucial for Kohli & others. They have the big names. They just need to click together.

The Delhi Capitals would look to get back their winning habit through Sunday’s afternoon match. With the kind of batsmen and spinners they have, they should be confident of dominating RCB at the Chinnaswamy.

Yuzvendra Chahal vs Shreyas Iyer

Chahal is the Purple Cap holder and has been bowling supremely well in the tournament till now. Most of his wickets have come against right-handers who struggle with his leg spinners moving away from them. Shreyas Iyer might get added to that list unless he comes in with a plan to tackle Chahal sensibly.

Iyer has already been dismissed twice in the tournament by the leggies Imran Tahir and Rashid Khan. He needs to be careful else Chahal might make it to this list as well considering the spin-friendly wicket.

AB de Villiers vs Sandeep Lamichhane

Another leggie who has been making waves with his wonderful bowling is Sandeep Lamichhane. Most batsmen like to play him out quietly failing which they lose their wicket. This makes this match-up extremely interesting as AB de Villiers is one batsman who loves taking on each and every bowler. He backs himself to get the better of the bowlers.

What remains to be seen is if de Villiers deposits Lamichhane into the stands or the 18-year old Nepali wizard spins a web around the mighty South African legend.

Navdeep Saini vs Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan is one of India’s best limited-overs cricketers. However, his struggle against bounce and swing is no secret. He has the tendency to edge the ball to the slips or the wicket-keeper if there is slight movement. Saini, who has played with Dhawan in the domestic tournaments, would love to get his senior’s wicket by exploiting this weakness.

Saini has been brilliant with the ball clocking unbelievable speeds of over 150kph. If he manages to maintain his accuracy against Dhawan and bowl to him just outside the off-stump, he has a big chance of dismissing the Indian opener.
