RCB vs KKR Match Prediction

RCB vs KKR Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 17th match of IPL 2019.

The 17th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at Bengaluru tomorrow. Having lost four matches on the trot, Royal Challengers have started their campaign in the worst possible manner.

With them playing their second match in Bengaluru, they would be looking to get a couple of points on the board tomorrow. On the other hand, Knight Riders are coming on the back of winning two out of three matches played so far.

Had it not been Delhi Capitals fast bowler Kagiso Rabada’s pinpoint yorkers in the super over, Kolkata would have been the only unbeaten team in this season so far. Given how both the teams would be desperate to comeback to winning ways tomorrow, it calls for a intriguing contest between RCB and KKR.

RCB vs KKR – What numbers suggest?

Out of the 23 matches played between Bangalore and Kolkata so far, Bangalore have won only nine as compared to Kolkata’s 14. Talking about the 10 matches played at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, RCB have won four as compared to KKR’s six victories on away soil.

What further distinguishes both the teams is their average score against each other. While RCB have only scored 145 runs per match against KKR, KKR have scored 159 runs per match against RCB. The colossal difference of 14 runs speaks highly about who is the favourite going in to tomorrow’s match.

RCB vs KKR – Paper value

Other than the numbers, Kolkata Knight Riders also seem to dominate against Royal Challengers Bangalore on paper. Much like other teams, RCB are highly likely to find it difficult to put a halt to Andre Russell’s blistering form. The all-rounder has played a titular role in all the matches for KKR so far.

With him attacking the opposition with both bat and ball at will, Bangalore might be keen on finding a way to combat him. Other than Russell, Bangalore will also find it hard to restrict the likes of in-form batsmen in Nitish Rana and KKR captain Dinesh Karthik.

Not that Royal Challengers don’t have the firepower in their lineup, them having not played to their potential in all departments have hurt them the most. Until and unless the hosts don’t come up with something out-of-the-box, expect KKR to register their third win in IPL 2019.
