RCB take the field in another must win encounter for the team after having won the last two games. Chinnaswamy is back to its ‘batting friendly best’, something that absolutely suits that star studded RCB batting unit.

They snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the last game, with Parthiv knocking down the stumps when it mattered. MS Dhoni’s heroics ultimately got no points for CSK, but it brought a rise smile to the average Indian fan, as he/she was mesmerised by what Dhoni had pulled off at the Chinnaswamy.

RCB are still hanging in there and a win against KXIP on Wednesday could give the team real belief as to what could be done with respect to a playoff spot.

KXIP on the other hand are coming off a tough loss at the hands of DC and would like to get away from that mid table rut as soon as possible.

Now, on a flat track in Bangalore and with the kind of batsmen on display, get set for a run feast on Wednesday night.

Let’s get to business now.

RCB vs KXIP Dream 11 team Prediction

Wicketkeeper for RCB vs KXIP Dream 11

KL Rahul or Parthiv Patel would make it to the wicketkeeping slot, and I am going with KL Rahul here because of his skill and current form. Parthiv Patel has huffed and puffed to a couple of fifties this season, but on that flat deck, the kind of damage KL Rahul can do, Parthiv certainly can’t.

Get Rahul in; he would also want to make a point to the RCB franchise for not having backed him during his time in Bangalore.

Bowlers for RCB vs KXIP Dream 11

Bangalore has been a bowler’s graveyard for long. Ever since the drainage system has been changed though, this is the first year that we are once again witnessing those flat Bangalore wickets.

Thus, I would advise investing heavily into bowlers here, as they could be taken for plenty. Invest all your resources in the stroke makers on display for this game and let the second string bowlers complete your line up.

Navdeep Saini would be the first bowler I bring in. He has bowled some fantastic spells for RCB at the death, surprising the batsmen with his raw pace. As I have decided to go in with three bowlers worth 8 cr each, he is the best one available, based on skill and current form.

For the final two bowling slots, I get in makeshift bowlers. Pawan Negi would be one, as he could exploit any turn that the surface has to offer, as he has once this season. Moreover, with 5 right handers in the top 7 for Negi could come really handy.

For the final bowling pick, I would be going in with one from Murugan Ashwin and Ankit Rajpoot, depending on who plays. If Mujeeb is fit, he could be drafted in at the expense of Viljoen and hence Rajpoot would come in for Murugan. Rajpoot bowls at the death and could run away with a few cheap wickets. If he doesn’t play, you would have to hope that Ashwin sneaks in one or two scalps.

All-Rounders for RCB vs KXIP Dream 11

Moeen Ali would the obvious choice for the kind of form that he is in. While he has been under-utilised as a bowler, he has more than made up for it with the bat. While earlier used at the top of the order, Ali has found his sweet spot in the middle order, using that long handle to good effect and providing RCB with that much needed oomph in the death overs. Get him in at all costs.

The focus here is on batting all-rounders and hence the second pick is going to be Marcus Stoinis. The Australian all-rounder has finished things off well for RCB this season, scoring those brisk 30 odd runs at the back end of an innings. With the kind of power that he possesses, it is only a matter for time that Stoinis helps himself to a quick fire half-century. And what better time to do it than against his former franchise on that belter of a Bangalore track.

Harpreet Brar would be my 3rd all-rounder pick. This is again a budget pick, owing to all the heavy weight batsmen I would be bringing in in the next section. Ashwin and the KXIP think tank rate Brar very highly, largely because of his ability to use the long-handle at the death. He can chip in with a couple of overs too.

In the last game against DC, he played a nice 20 off 12 cameo. Get him in, he’ll help you with those budget constraints.

Batsmen for RCB vs KXIP Dream 11

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers will be the first two batsmen that I get in for this game. On a flat surface, against an attack that isn’t very lethal; you can bank on these two batsmen doing their thing and showering you with fantasy points.

Chris Gayle would be returning to the Chinnaswamy once again and like KL Rahul would want to prove a point or two to the RCB franchise. The Bangalore crowd too wouldn’t mind a Gayle storm, as long as RCB end up winning the game. Gayle knows the ground like the back of his hand and should be able to get into the groove, thanks to the kind of form he is in this season.

For the final pick of the game, I would go in with a top 3 batsman from KXIP. Mayank Agarwal has been in fine touch this season, anchoring the innings when needed and taking the attack to the bowlers when required. A flat deck, good current form and the fact that he bats in the top 3 is enough to warrant him a place in my side.
