Coming off a couple of nail-biting wins, RCB are still in the tournament with an outside chance of making it to the playoffs. They face the Kings XI at Bengaluru and it will be interesting to see how Ashwin’s men would come out against RCB considering their latest loss against the Delhi Capitals.
The Chinnaswamy may be in for a Gayle-storm like the good old days but it will be against RCB if it happens.
FORM GUIDE
The RCB are coming off two back to back close wins while defending a target. In their last 4 matches, they have managed to win 3 and have struck some form finally. They need to continue being positive and believe that they can still qualify for the playoffs and make the improbable happen. Their batsmen and bowlers have been in good form and the latter has flourished since the arrival of Dale Steyn.
KXIP are having a topsy-turvy tournament thus far. They have hit a rough patch as they have managed to win only 1 off their last 4 matches. The top order needs to keep firing as they have and the bowlers need to do the rest of the job for KXIP to pull off a victory against an upbeat RCB.
EXPECTED TEAM CHANGES
RCB have struck some form finally and they would surely not tamper with the winning combination now. Although Umesh Yadav was a little expensive, it was due to the last over onslaught by MS Dhoni. Otherwise, he bowled well enough. Expect no changes from RCB.
KXIP have been making quite a few changes in every match. Some are forced while some are tactical. Considering the Bengaluru pitch, Ashwin might opt to go in with 3 spinners on the track if there seems to be any assistance for spinners.
Otherwise, Arshdeep Singh is expected to return in place of Harpreet Brar. Moises Henriques, if fit, would surely replace an off-colour Sam Curran.

PITCH AND WEATHER PREDICTION
The Bengaluru pitch has been a little unpredictable this season. Hence, the average score will not paint a true picture. If the pitch remains true to itself, we can see scores in excess of 200 from both sides like against KKR else even 160 might be a mountain to climb for the chasing team like the match against CSK. The captains will have to assess the pitch on the day itself.

The skies are expected to be clear which brings in the possibility of dew and the chances of the chasing team increases. The temperature will hover around 28*C with 44% humidity and very little chance of any rainfall.
TOSS PREDICTION
In spite of the previous match’s result, the team winning the toss should look to bowl first and make use of the wet ball in the second half of the game. They would also have a clear idea of the nature of the pitch and the target will be in front of them.
