Going by reports in ESPNcricinfo, the city had witnessed grey sky and raindrops throughout the day. It was also mentioned that despite rain being continuous in some parts of the city, it is currently not raining at the stadium.

“Really doubt if there’s gonna be any game tonight. Raining cats and dogs in Bangalore, I guess this should be the end of road for RCB and RR,” a comment read on ESPNcricinfo.
“But there’s some good news, Syed – the rain is pretty localised here in Bengaluru. It might be raining in your neighbourhood, but things are dry at the stadium [for now]. Fingers crossed,” read the reply on the above comment.
Given the importance of the comment, watching a washed out fixture would be the last thing which anyone would want.
