Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen as a replacement for Luka Modric.
Julen Lopetegui’s Real Madrid are set to make a big-money bid to land Christian Eriksen at Santiago Bernabeu. According to reports from English outlets, Real Madrid are preparing an offer for the Danish star in a bid to replace Luka Modric.
If the deal pulls through, this would be Real Madrid’s third major signing from Tottenham Hotspur in six years. The Los Blancos earlier signed Eriksen’s reported predecessor, Modric from the English club six years ago. In 2013, Real Madrid made another signing from Tottenham, when they pulled out the-then world record transfer for Gareth Bale.
British outlet Daily Mail says that the Spanish giants are considering a bid for Christian Eriksen, should Luka Modric leave the club this summer.

Modric has been long linked with a move to Inter Milan, and speculations grew stronger after midfielder’s terrific performance for Croatia in the World Cup.
This summer has been a rather difficult one for Real Madrid and their fans, as the club had to endure a shock departure of three-time Champions League winning manager Zinedine Zidane. A month later, the club’s star player Cristiano Ronaldo also announced his departure to Juventus. And now, it seems like Luka Modric may follow the Portuguese footballer to the Italian league.
Christian Eriksen has two years remaining in his contract at Tottenham Hotspur, and the English club is attempting to extend his contract.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have also reportedly prepared a 200m offer for Chelsea star Eden Hazard. The Spanish club signed another Belgian superstar Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea last week, and according to reports, Florentino Perez is hopeful that they will pull out a deal for Hazard as well.
