Real Madrid Transfer News: Los Blancos plot surprise move for Premier League star during the upcoming transfer window.

Under Zinedine Zidane’s 2nd reign as Real Madrid boss, the Spanish giants have heavily invested in the club as they look to rebuild the club following the nightmare campaign last season. The club made several purchases last summer in a bid to fill all their bases. However, there is one position they overlooked.

Real Madrid currently only have one defensive midfielder in Casemiro in their squad. Zidane is keen to add his deputy in the squad next summer. The Frenchman has turned his sights to the Premier League to find his back-up holding midfielder.

Real Madrid plot surprise move for Premier League star

Los Blancos are understood to be eying a move for Leicester City star Wilfried Ndidi in the summer according to Fichajes. The report adds that Rennes’ Eduardo Camavinga was among the options. However, they have been put off by the French club’s £67m valuation for the teenage sensation.

This has resulted in the club making one of the top names on their radar for the next transfer window.

It remains to be seen if Leicester City or even the Nigerian will consider the move though.

Ndidi has more than 4-years remaining on his contract. The club is in no need to sale and will require a significant bid to have their minds changed.

Ndidi on the other hand, could end up playing Champions League football next season. The Foxes are currently 3rd in the Premier League. However, a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu will surely see him get benched while playing second fiddle to Casemiro.
