Real Madrid Transfer News: Man Utd take call on Paul Pogba's future at Old Trafford

Manchester United are not prepared to let Paul Pogba join Real Madrid in this window.

After the signing of Eden Hazard, Real Madrid representatives are working to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United. The Red Devils midfielder has been criticised for his inconsistency since his move to Old Trafford, but Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of the former Juventus midfielder.

Despite Real Madrid’s high pressure, Manchester United remain tight-lipped and have waved away their request to sell him. The Spanish publication AS also report that the record Champions League holders are wanting the French International to submit a transfer request in order to move away from England.

The Los Blancos have been enquiring about his availability regularly, but the Red Devils are not required to change their decision as Solskjaer sees Pogba as a vital player in his system. If the English side does not respond to Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane will be forced to make move for another midfielder.

However, there is confusion surrounding Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez currently. The manager is keen on securing the services of Paul Pogba, but Perez is eyeing a move for a cheap alternative, Christian Eriksen.

In recent weeks, rumours have been rumbling about the 150 million price tag for Paul Pogba. However, those reports have been rubbished as Manchester United refuse to name the price for their midfielder.

Solskjaer is eyeing either Youri Teilemans or Christian Eriksen in case Paul Pogba leaves the club. Juventus have also checked on Paul Pogba’s availability, but United have stood strong again.

Zinedine Zidane has already signed Eder Militao, Luka Jovic, and Eden Hazard for a combined fee of little more than 200 million. They will be able to spend more as they have plenty of potential outgoings. James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Matteo Kovacic, Keylor Navas, and Jesus Vallejo are expected to leave the club.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Paul Pogba will have to force his way out of Old Trafford if he desperately wants to leave in the summer transfer window.
