Good news for Team India, as star batsman and opener, Rohit Sharma joins the Indian team in England. The Mumbai Indians skipper had to attend a cousin’s wedding, and hence was unable to travel to England with the rest of the squad. Sharma missed the first warm-up match against New Zealand, but should be available for the second warm-up game against Bangladesh

“Bro,
From playing gully cricket together to riding bikes together, fighting together to sacrificing for one another, you have certainly come a long way and as a brother I’m really proud of you. We have had our ups and downs but as father once told us ‘ there’s always light at the end of the tunnel’ we have certainly followed that path so far. Ritika and I wish you and dipali a peaceful life ahead and togetherness all the way. Love”

Rohit had to endure a tough six months prior to the IPL. He had to recover from a serious injury and then get into the best possible shape ahead of the Champions Trophy. He surpassed expectations as he not only found some good form, but also led his IPL team to a historic triumph.
India will be pinning a lot of hopes on Rohit in the upcoming Champions Trophy. On his day, he is one of the best batsman in world cricket and can win a match all on his own accord. India will be hoping that he does just that over the next couple of weeks!
