The Big Dog is set to turn a chapter from the past, as he is set to rekindle an old rival in the form of Bray Wyatt. The prize is huge with the winner qualifying for the Elimination Chamber match.
The heat is intensifying for the Elimination Chamber, as three of the six participants have been named. John Cena, Elias and Braun Strowman all won their respective qualification matches to earn their place inside the monstrous structure.
Roman Reigns will be looking to recover from his successive losses to The Miz and losing the Intercontinental Championship in the process. The stakes are high for Bray Wyatt too, as he himself is on a battle with The “Woken” Matt Hardy.
WWE issued a statement regarding the match which is set to headline RAW. The statement read:
“Live on Raw, Roman Reigns battles Bray Wyatt for the right to enter the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match, with the winner of that grueling contest going on to battle Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.”
The Eater Of The World’s cost Matt Hardy a win against Elias and the rivalry might heat up with Hardy expected to do the same with the duo set for a long program.
As of now, Roman Reigns is the favourite to walk out of Elimination Chamber as the No.1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title. The Big Dog is speculated to have his long time rumoured rematch from WrestleMania 31 at the Grandest Stage of Them All in a few months’ time.
Reigns vs Lesnar is a match that Vince McMahon has been wanting for a very long time now. The pair had a brutal match in the event of Wrestlemania 31.
Back then, Roman Reigns had just won the Royal Rumble and was heralded as the next big superstar in the company, while Lesnar was the reigning champion and top draw for the WWE.
Now, Roman Reigns is ‘The Man’ in WWE, having beaten the Undertaker and John Cena over the last twelve months in the company.
It will be one hell of a match!
