Sanju Samson Tweet: Sanju Sampson takes an apparent swipe at the team management and selection pane; after being dropped again

Across the course of the last year, Sanju Samson’s lack of involvement in the Indian cricket team has been one of the most confounding moves by the team management and selection panel. Despite the wicket-keeper impressing across the Indian domestic circuit and IPL consistently for the last couple of years, he’s inexplicably remained out of favour in India’s white ball cricket side.
And Rishabh Pant’s languid displays over the last 6 months have only increased the clamour for Sanju Samson taking over the wicket-keeping slot in ODIs and T20s. Samson who made a return to the Indian team for the bygone T20 series against Sri Lanka was handed out only one outing in the series, one where he ended up scoring 6 from 2 balls.
The player was dropped once again following that display for India’s ongoing ODI series against Australia along with subsequently missing out on the squad for the side’s five match T20 series slated against New Zealand. With Pant out with an injury for the second ODI against Australia, questions were once again raised at BCCI’s bemusing reason to keep shunting the player from the Indian side.

And it’s not only the ardent supporters of the Indian team who seem to have had enough with Sanju Samson seemingly running out of patience after being dropped for the T20 series against New Zealand. A part of India A’s squad for their series against New Zealand, the wicket-keeper sent out a tweet which contained just a comma, a cryptic message being taken as a direct lash to the team management.
Here’s how twitter reacted:
Please don’t loose patience brother. We all support you. You deserve it. You plays very well. Play well with all your passion, to the opportunities that come to you.
Time will answer the people who thought you were a normal batsman! Cheer up! Take your bat and show your talent.— Akhil George (@akhilgeorge1993) January 16, 2020

Smash all domestic bowlers, specially md Siraj and khaleel Ahmed whenever u play against them…at least Kohli should realise his poor scouting talent

Comma means it’s not the end… He’s still hoping that one day Indian cricket team authorities will recognize his talent and then he will show more commas 6,6,6,6,6,6 @BCCI @cricbuzz

Not the first time
This is not just the first time though that Samson has taken to Twitter. After failing to make the cut to the Indian setup. The player had previously tweeted a smile after being left out of India’s squad for their T20 and ODI series against West Indies in 2019.
Samson meanwhile will be looking to further assert his claim to the wicket-keeping role with a solid display in New Zealand. The player whose is set to play for India A against New Zealand XI on Friday will be looking to show why he’s held in such high esteem with a solid knock in treacherous conditions.
