Sebastian Vettel puts the number 2 board in front of Lewis Hamilton’s car after Canadian GP controversy, wins twitter with his move
Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari were finally having a good race in Canada when F1 stewards decided that Mercedes record of winning all races this year thus far.
Vettel’s Ferrari was leading the race with half the race to go when some dirty air from backmarkers infront of him had the back of his car fail to adhere to what his front was doing. Vettel slipped into the grass and locked her tyres and as he came back on track he had cross lock and came into the path of Lewis Hamilton as he tried to gain control of his car.
Hamilton immediately complained to Mercedes who took the matter to the stewards. Most experts thought there would be no action taken because of how little Vettel could do to make anything better without having hit his breaks.
15 odd laps later the stewards came back with a penalty of 5 seconds shocking everyone and as expected Vettel reacted furiously. He asked the team where he was supposed to go and complained that the stewards were stealing the win from them.
Hamilton ended the race in 2nd but was only half a second behind Vettel so the 5 second penalty won Hamilton the first position and as Hamilton celebrated, Vettel got back on the team radio disgusted saying “no no no no. that is not done. where is was i supposed to go. I was lucky to not hit the wall and they want to blame me for coming into his path? where was I supposed to go??”
Binotto: You are our winner.
Vettel: “I’m not calm. It’s just unfair.”#CanadianGP pic.twitter.com/iMN1TPO0QN

It was a shame that a race that promised so much was decided by stewards treating F1 like a joke. Ferrari end the day with P2 and P3 with Vettel and Leclerc. But this was a win that was stolen from them. Vettel might be wrong often. But not this time.
An angry Vettel tried to skip the podium ceremony but he would’ve been docked more points for that and Ferrari sent a manager running after him to bring him to the podium.
Vettel got the loudest cheer of the day as the crowd sumpathized with his plight. Seb then went on to remove the board reading 1 in front of Hamiltons car and replaced it with the no. 2 board leading to loud cheers from the Ferrari crew and the fans. F1 is the best. The stewards were a bunch of twats.
Oh no he didn’t #F1 #CanadianGP #Vettel pic.twitter.com/JejL83BUAH
