SL vs NZ Dream11 Team Prediction: The Sportsrush helps you to make Best SL vs NZ Dream11 team for the second Test at Colombo.

The second test of the ongoing New Zealand’s tour of Sri Lanka will be played tomorrow at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo tomorrow. With Sri Lanka winning the first Test at Galle, they have an opportunity to win their second series in a row.
A whitewash over New Zealand will also aid the hosts to rise up in the MRF Tyres ICC Test rankings for teams. On the contrary, New Zealand would be looking to stand tall on the expectations from them despite them playing in away conditions.
The visiting team will be taking inspiration from their victory at the same venue back in 2012. Furthermore, Sri Lanka’s below par record at the venue should also come good for New Zealand.

Pitch Conditions and Toss Prediction
The surface at the P. Sara Oval will retain its usual knack of aiding the fast bowlers tomorrow. If the match gets interrupted by rain (which shouldn’t be a surprise), expect the conditions to further come good for the pacers. Otherwise, the pitch should also favour the batsmen from both the teams.
In 21 Test matches at the venue, the team batting first has won on seven occasions while the team batting second has won on 10 occasions. Therefore, captains won’t consider chasing as a bad option for tomorrow.
Dream11 Picks for SL vs NZ 2nd Test
Wicket-keepers for SL vs NZ Dream11
With both wicket-keeper batsmen scoring individual half-centuries in the last match, I have decided to pick both of them in Sri Lanka’s Niroshan Dickwella and New Zealand’s BJ Watling. Despite both of them batting down the order, their current form has it in it to put on display a strong fight alongside the tail-enders.

Batsmen for SL vs NZ Dream11
Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored his ninth Test century in a match-winning effort in the previous match. Having scored 161 runs in the Test match, there was not an iota of doubt in my mind regarding including him in my Dream 11 fantasy team.
Lahiru Thirimanne, who opened the batting with Karunaratne in the first Test, played a vital role with his sixth half-century in the match-winning 161-run opening stand. Here is expecting for the Sri Lanka pair to once again call the shots. If you want, you can pick Kusal Mendis in place of Thirimanne. Both the batsman will cost you the same points.
My other two batsmen for this match are New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and veteran middle-order batsman Ross Taylor. Williamson scoring 0 and 4 in the first Test was contrasting with respect to his stature. However, I am picking him because of his ability. On the other hand, Taylor did score his 31st Test half-century in the first innings at Galle.
All-rounders for SL vs NZ Dream11
My only all-rounder for this match is Sri Lanka’s Dhananjaya de Silva. The 27-year old cricketer might not have performed in the first innings but picked up three wickets and was part of the winning stand for Sri Lanka in the second innings.
Bowlers for SL vs NZ Dream11
Much like the first Test, I have persisted with Sri Lanka off-spinner Akila Dananajaya. Having picked 33 wickets in only six Tests, Dananajaya has started his Test career on an exceptional note. The 25-year old bowler also registered his fourth five-wicket haul at Galle.
Considering the surface, I have selected Sri Lanka fast bowler Suranga Lakmal as well. Other than dismissing four batsmen in the first innings, Lakmal also scored some vital runs in the first innings.
As far as the visitors are concerned, I have picked the fast bowling duo of Trent Boult and Neil Wagner. There have been reports of New Zealand likely to play Wagner because of the helpful conditions. If the same doesn’t happen, stay alert during the toss and pick Tim Southee in place of Wagner. By picking the exact team, you will be left with half a credit which you can use while buying Southee.
