The South Korean will undergo surgery on his fractured arm this week and will undergo rehabilitation in order to mount a comeback as soon as possible. The injury update was announced on Tottenham’s official website.

It read:

“Heung-Min Son is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining a fracture to his right arm.”

“The South Korea international suffered the injury during our win against Aston Villa on Sunday.”

“Following surgery, our medical staff shall be reviewing management options for Son’s rehabilitation with the player expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks.”

Tottenham’s injury woes continue

Jose Mourinho’s side are already without Harry Kane following a hamstring injury to the English international. Spurs will consider themselves unfortunate should they miss out on a champions league spot after coming so close.

Son has scored 16 goals this season for Tottenham. He also has 8 assists to his name. He has been one of the best players for Jose Mourinho this season. His presence will surely missed by the club. It was his brilliance that helped the side pull off a stoppage time victory against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

The 27-year old will miss out on Tottenham’s Champions League round of 16 clash against RB Leipzig. He will also not be in the reckoning for the London clash against Chelsea.
