Sonu Sood helping migrant workers: Shikhar Dhawan salutes Bollywood actor for heroic efforts
Shikhar Dhawan salutes Bollywood actor: The Indian batsman lauded Bollywood actor Sonu Sood for his generous efforts to help migrants.
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been doing the rounds in the Indian media for the last week or so primarily because of his generous efforts to help the migrant workers reach back to their homes in various parts of the country.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has seen bountiful migrant workers stuck in different corners of the country. With minimal mediums of transport open in the third phase of lockdown, migrants were left with no options than to walk thousand of km to reach their native places.
With their finances facing significant challenges due to the acute shortage of work across the nation, sustaining in metropolitan cities had become a daunting task for many daily wage workers.
Sood, who had offered his hotel in Mumbai to be converted into a quarantine centre, has been actively helping people in this crisis situation. While Sood also took the responsibility of providing food to thousands of people in Mumbai, him organizing buses for migrants to go home has seen him receiving a hefty amount of requests for people who want to return back to their hometowns.
