Steph Curry’s social media activity shows how he feels about LeBron’s GOAT statement

Steph Curry has revolutionised basketball in the last few years, making the league more 3 point centric and bamboozling everyone with his incredible handles.

2 MVPs in two years and Curry too has a claim to be spoken about in the same breath as some of the best players of all time.

Curry’s claim to fame will be his titles, his 3 point shooting, but most importantly it will be his impact in the NBA and how he has forced teams and players to incorporate 3 point shooting in their repertoire.

Now, while Curry isn’t quite eligible for a place in the ‘GOAT debate’, he has subtly hinted towards what he feels about the entire saga, especially after LeBron’s comments about he being the GOAT after beating Curry’s Warriors 4-3 in the 2016 NBA finals.

That statement from LeBron has reignited the GOAT debate, with a video of Jordan too having surfaced on social media, one that shows how he approached the ‘GOAT’ question.

While LeBron went onto call himself the GOAT because of the 2016 NBA finals, Jordan has time and again spoken about how he can’t ever call himself the GOAT because that would be disrespectful to other legends of the game, especially those who played the game before him.

Now, the Instagram account ‘Ballislife’ did post that video of Jordan on Instagram, one where he explained why he does not want the tag of the GOAT.

Stephen Curry who was at the receiving end of that Cavaliers comeback must have not liked what James said and also agreed to a large extent with how Jordan approached the question about the GOAT tag.

So much so that, Curry actually went ahead and liked the Instagram post wherein Jordan had suggested that he wouldn’t take the tag of the GOAT.

Now, whilst LeBron may have the better statistics with still a few years left in his career, his NBA finals record and the way he has approached clutch situations during basketball games does not really put him at par with MJ.

Jordan’s 6-0 NBA finals record speaks for itself and also how he always rose to the occasion during NBA finals and other important games.

LeBron has a long way to go before overtaking Michael Jordan and he is not quite helping his cause in the NBA fraternity by proclaiming himself as the greatest player of all time.
