Suresh Raina comes up with a wonderful tweet after CSK’s defeat to KKR

The first part of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) has been done and the teams have now entered into the second leg. All the teams are fighting hard to get a place into the playoffs in order to get a ticket to the final.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday (3rd May) in the 33rd match of the ongoing season. Winning the toss, home side KKR decided to bowl first so that they can have a set target before them.

CSK got off to a good start with Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis opening the batting. Later on, the inning was carried on by Suresh Raina and Watson to get some quick runs. But they failed to make a big impact on the inning and even the in-form Ambati Rayudu couldn’t do anything special. CSK skipper MS Dhoni got some quick fire runs at the end to take his team to a reasonable total of 177.

Stepping out to chase down the target, KKR lost their first wicket in the first over itself in the form of Chris Lynn. Sunil Narine was dropped for two consecutive times by Ravindra Jadeja in the second over. Narine got some quick runs along with youngster Shubman Gill. The young lad went on to hit a half-century and the KKR skipper played a blasting knock to seal the match for his side.

Suresh Raina was able to score just 31 but that was enough for him to make him the highest run scorer of IPL history again. After the match, Raina posted a pic on Instagram in which he was joined by the KKR players.

Raina was seen clicking the pic with KKR players Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Rinku Singh and Shubman Gill. “Brotherhood”, the post caption read.

CSK will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their next game on Saturday on the 5thof May.
