Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took over Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (13th May) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The yellow brigade registered a comfortable victory over SRH to get an inch closer to the playoffs.

CSK batsman Suresh Raina took it to social media Twitter to applaud the team for the amazing performance in the match.

CSK had opted to bowl first, as they were confident enough to chase down any total put up by the SRH batting unit.

Deepak Chahar started on a positive note for CSK, swinging the ball around and getting that early break through of Alex Hales.

However, Dhawan and Williamson strung together a brilliant partnership and helped SRH get a total in the range of 180 odd.

Coming back to chase, CSK dominated the game right from the first. SRH bowling unit which is considered the best bowling unit of the season couldn’t ask any difficult questions to the openers. In-form openers, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson added 134 runs partnership and took the game away from the opponents. While stealing a run, Shane Watson was out for 57 runs.

However, Rayudu played till the end and scored his maiden T20 century. The fans witnessed MS Dhoni’s finishing at the end as well. CSK won the match by 8 wickets and 6 balls to spare.

Suresh Raina couldn’t do much with the bat as he was out for just 2 runs. He has always been known as the team man. This time also he didn’t leave a chance to hail his teammates for the wonderful performance.

He applauded Rayudu and Watson for the amazing batting show and Chahar for the great spell. “Brilliant knock from @RayuduAmbati, @ShaneRWatson33 and an amazing spell of pace bowling from #DeepakChahar upfront to give us a great win. @ChennaiIPL#WhistlePodu #CSKvSRH #IPL2018”, his tweet read.

Here’s the tweet:

CSK will play their next game against Delhi Daredevils (DD) on Friday (18th May).
