The truth behind Kylian Mbappe pushing Neymar during PSG’s Super Cup celebration after beating Rennes in the French football season opener.
PSG superstar Neymar has been at the centre of the most convoluted transfer saga this summer. The Brazilian has made no bones about his desire to move back to Barcelona. This has meant that Neymar has played no part in PSG’s pre-season games including the French Super Cup against Rennes.
Neymar was present in the stands when his team beat Rennes 2-1 to win the French Season opener. He then joined them in the field but looked like he wanted to be elsewhere (Camp Nou perhaps?). Footage of an uneasy Neymar surfaced on the internet with Marco Verratti and Kylian Mbappe trying to include him in the celebrations.
However, another footage emerged that saw Mbappe do the opposite of what he had done earlier. The French sensation grabbed Neymar by his shoulders and pushed him out of the celebrations.
Think it’s almost guaranteed that Neymar is off to Barcelona at this point Mbappe shoving him out the team photo bit weird like #neymarjr

Speculations were rife that this was proof that not all was well between the Parisian club’s two biggest stars. It has been rumored for long that Neymar wants to leave PSG because he feels like he has been replaced by the French star at the top and the video seemed to reinforce the idea that there was indeed some bad blood between the two. However, an extended video has now come out that completely changes the narrative of what was earlier assumed.

As you can see in the video, Neymar rejoined the celebrations soon after. The Brazilian also posted a selfie with Mbappe on social media with the caption ‘My Bro’.
It seems like, in the end, all this fuss was just over two friends being, well, friends…
