The Undertaker Vs Goldberg: Worst match in WWE history?

The Undertaker Vs Goldberg: Worst match in WWE history? A botch fest between two 50+ wrestlers led to a disappointing main event at a forgettable show.

The Saudi Fans have time and again shown that they remain nostalgic fans of the WWE. Which is why the company employs many semi-retired wrestlers for the show, sometimes even pulling them out of retirement.

While the Undertaker has been on all the Saudi Shows, Shawn Michaels was plucked out of retirement for Crown Jewel. He and Triple H teamed up to do battle against The Undertaker and Kane in a sloppy main event that was criticised by fans and critics.

Undertaker Vs Goldberg

Vince, with no regards to the criticism, bought back Goldberg this time.

Goldberg does not have the affinity for long matches. In his last run in the WWE, he only had one good match and even that lasted no more than 5 minutes!

Naturally the fans were taken aback when it was announced that he would face the Undertaker. However, two promos later, The Undertaker Vs Goldberg became one of the most anticipated matches in the card.

They started off well with Goldberg looking like he wanted this to be a wrestling match and not just a series of spears and Jackhammers. However, one spear to the ring post saw the Icon have his head bust open. Everything went downhill from there. The anticipation before the match soon turned into disappointment as the two partook in a sloppy main event that had botches galore.

To their credit, they tried their best to make a match out of it but with Goldberg looking like he was losing control over himself; this was a mountain too hard to climb. The Undertaker looked in pain trying to Tombstone Goldberg. He did not seem in control of the move and it looked like he smashed Goldberg’s head on the mat.

Goldberg was no less sloppy with his Jackhammer, landing the Deadman on his neck. He then tried to tombstone his opponent only to fall back. Taker then chokeslammed him to pick a victory that seemed very anticlimactic.

The Undertaker did not seem happy with his performance and many fans shared the sentiment. Will Vince finally learn his lesson and stop putting ageing wrestlers in the Main Event Spot?

Unlikely. Like I said before, the Saudi Fans pop for nostalgic acts and the huge amount of money they bring to the table will surely help comfort Vince McMahon as he closes his ears to his fans once again.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all.
