Twitter reactions on India's series victory against Windies

Twitter reactions on India’s series victory against Windies: Twitter was exhilarated after India won another match in three days.

During the third day of the second match of the ongoing Windies’ tour of India at Hyderabad, India defeated Windies by 10 wickets to seal another victory in under three days. In which was India’s first 10-wicket victory over Windies, it aided them to seal the series 2-0.

With India resuming the day on 308-4, a plethora of expectations were of the opinion that the home team would build a significant lead in a bid to not bat again in the Test match.

That being said, what followed wasn’t on the anticipated lines. On the back of Jason Holder’s bowling figures of 23-5-56-5, India were bundled out on 367 in 106.4 overs. Ajinkya Rahane (80) and Rishabh Pant (92), who were unbeaten yesterday, failed to reach the 100-run mark.

The Indian bowlers returned the favor by dismissing the opposition on 127 in 46.1 overs. Umesh Yadav, who picked up career-best figures in the first innings, contributed with four more in the second as he registered his maiden 10-wicket haul in Test cricket.

Chasing a paltry target of 72 runs, the Indian openers sealed the chase in the 17th over as Shaw (33) and Rahul (33) remained unbeaten.

The match will fondly remembered for Yadav’s gritty effort. Bowling the way he did on home surfaces is easier said than done. The fact that he has become the first Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat in the 21st century in itself speaks highly about him.

The Indian team’s clinical effort saw them winning their 10th home series in a row. The victory invited a plethora of overjoyed Twitter reactions for the Indian team. Read them below:
