Twitter reactions on Krishnappa Gowtham's blockbuster all-round performance in KPL 2019

Krishnappa Gowtham’s blockbuster all-round performance: Bellary Tuskers all-rounder registered a formidable performance tonight.

During the 15th match of the ongoing eighth season of the Karnataka Premier League between Bellary Tuskers and Namma Shivamogga in Bengaluru, Bellary Tuskers all-rounder put on display arguably the best all-round performance in T20s ever.

After Tuskers captain CM Gautam won the toss and chose to bat in the 17-over match, Gowtham came in to bat at No. 3 in the third over. The right-hand batsman started to punish the opposition bowlers from the word go to an extent that the assault never really came to an end.

While Tuskers scored 203/3 in their allotted quota of 17 overs, Gowtham scored a magnificent 134* (56) with the help of seven fours and 13 sixes.

If this brutal attack wasn’t enough, Gowtham contributed equally well in the bowling department. Having opened the bowling alongside seamer Prasidh Krishna, Gowtham registered unreal bowling figures of 4-0-15-8 as the opposition was bowled out on 133 in 16.3 overs.

Gowtham, who has in the past played several hard-hitting T20 innings, proved as to why he is so highly rated in this format. The 30-year old cricketer excelling in both the division and in such a way spoke highly of his expertise.

Gowtham’s innings saw him alluring instant applauds on social media platform Twitter where both fans and former cricketers praised him left, right and centre.
