Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni: Twitter went crazy as both the cricketers combined together to power India to a handsome total.

During the second T20I of the ongoing Australia’s tour of India at Bengaluru, India captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni joined hands to propel India to 190-4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

The duo joined hands after another wicket-keeper batsman in Rishabh Pant was dismissed by D’Arcy Short in the 11th over of the Indian innings. They ended up sharing a 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket as India recovered from losing three wickets at regular intervals.

As seen on numerous occasions earlier, whenever Dhoni and Kohli bat together, India end up prospering from their partnership. Apart from them hitting the boundaries, it is their running between wickets which is worth the watch.

While Kohli hit the first boundary of the partnership off Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa, Dhoni wasn’t too far behind as he hit Short a six over deep mid-wicket in the following over.

Going into the death overs, the duo collected nine and 14 runs in the 14th and 15th over bowled by Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson respectively. With them tasting blood before the slog overs, both of them made optimum use of the last five overs as India collected 77 runs between overs 15-20.

In the 16th over, Kohli hitting Australia and Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile for three sixes in a row remained the highlight of the innings. Australia captain Aaron Finch’s decision to give the ball to Short in the 18th over proved costly as Dhoni a couple of sixes and a four against the part-time spinner.

Before getting out in the last over, Dhoni ended up scoring 40 (23) with the help of three fours and three sixes. On the other hand, Kohli remained unbeaten after scoring his 20th T20I half-century, 72* (38), with the help of two fours and six sixes.

Their partnership enticed numerous reactions in the affirmative on social media platform Twitter. Read some of them below:
