Hannah Cifers who competed for the fourth time in 2020 at UFC Vegas 8, has found herself at the end of an unlikable record.
Hannah Cifers, who squared off against Mallory Martin in a women’s Strawweight contest at UFC Vegas 8, dominated the initial proceedings of the match, and was set to capitalize on the early momentum. She ended the first round of the bout on a high note, but in the second gave an opening to her opponent, Martin, who in-turn locked her in the rear-naked choke, and prevailed after just minute and 33 seconds in the round 2.

Hannah Cifers Makes an Unappealing Record at UFC Vegas 8
The match-up got its bottom line. While there was ecstasy at one end, there was disappointment on the other. This was Hannah Cifers’ fourth fight in the year, and with this loss, she has set an unintentional record. Cifers became the first in UFC history to suffer four consecutive losses in a calendar year. She lost to Angela Hill in January, to Mackenzie Dern in May, to Maria Agapova in June, and to Mallory Martin today (August 29).

She might have lost all four of her in-ring battles, but recovering quickly to comeback and compete those many times in a year is itself an achievement.
