VALORANT NEO FRONTIER Bundle: Release date, price & more

Valorant releases a brand new bundle called NEO FRONTIER that incorporates Old West and Neo Future styles into one. Riot Games has taken a unique style for their new collection of weapon skins. 

Skins in Valorant are always stylized in unusual ways that let players try out skins that fit their preferences. After their recent release of the NO LIMITS Bundle, the developers have created yet another skin that adds more variations to their weapon line.

Valorant recently unveiled this new skin on their social media and gives a first look at how they look and function. Let us take a deep dive and take a look at what the new skin collection has to offer for the shooter title.

Release date, content, and price for Valorant NEO FRONTIER Bundle

With the upcoming Episode 7 Act 1 update for Valorant, Riot Games will be releasing a brand new skin collection called NEO FRONTIER. Additionally, the update will include a new Agent called Deadlock and a fresh Battlepass for players to progress.

Usually, skin collections for Valorant are released for limited weapons in the game, and the case is similar for the upcoming bundle as well. The Old West-based bundle will consist of skins for the following weapons alongside other items:

• Phantom
• Axe (melee)
• Sheriff
• Marshal
• Odin
• Reactive Gun Buddy (Shows the top fragger’s image)
• Player Card: Western
• Player Card: Neo
• Spray

Each of these weapons will have its own levels and variations with the NEO FRONTIER Bundle. The progression and variations are described below:

Weapons –

Level 1: Custom Old West model, bullets, and ADS reticle

Level 2: Custom animations and firing audio

Level 3: Custom Sci-fi model change and new ADS reticle, custom Sci-fi animations, custom Sci-fi visual effects, and custom Sci-fi firing/equip/reload/inspect audio

Level 4: Finisher and Killbanner

Variant 1: Purple Variant with Purple Finisher and Kill Banner

Variant 2: White/Blue Variant with Blue Finisher and Kill Banner

Variant 3: Orange/Blue Variant with Orange Finisher and Kill Banner

Melee –

Level 1: Custom model change (Old West Axe), brand new equip and right-click animations

Level 2: Custom model change (Sci-fi Axe), Sci-fi visual effects, Sci-fi audio

Variant 1: Purple Variant

Variant 2: White/Blue Variant

Variant 3: Orange/Blue Variant

Since the bundle includes VFX, modified weapon models, and more it will be priced at 8700 Valorant Points. Where each weapon will cost at 2175 VP and melee at 4350 VP separately. But it is better to buy the bundle altogether as it will also include exclusive player cards, spray, and more.

The inspiration behind the latest Valorant skin bundle

When creating the bundle, developers wanted to pay homage to the Western genre, both modern and old. Laura Baltzer, Producer of Valorant said the following:

Keeping some details the samebetween the two versions of the skinline helped us keep the classicfeeling of the weapons but with a sci-fi twist.

The producer also mentioned that the team wanted to improve the skin by thinking about how manufacturers would like to improve the weapons or think about old ways as well. Additionally, the Marshall has new additional parts instead of completely remaking it from the ground up.

As per challenges, the development team was ambitious about adding custom ricochet sounds when creating the NEO FRONTIER Bundle.  Odin barrel rotation animation also took multiple tries and errors when creating. From animation to audio, a lot of effort has been given to the bundle. Laura Baltzer said the following when overcoming these challenges:

Though many of them may seem subtle, we hope these details combine to create something thoughtful and true to the western genre.

Will all this say, the new bundle takes to play back and forth between the future and past? By incorporating both sci-fi and old sound effect, the NEO FRONTIER Bundle adds a new variation to already existing skin lines.
