VAR shows footage of a car park during a match between Maccabi Haifa and Baitar Jerusalem in the Israeli Premier League.
VAR has been amidst several controversies this year, credits to the English Premier League, which has enabled to highlight several shortcomings of the newly introduced technology.
Coming miles away from England, VAR once again became a subject of bizarreness as during a game in the Israeli Premier League between Maccabi Haifa and Baitar Jerusalem. In the 93rd minute, the referee went to the pitchside monitor to check claims of a handball inside the box.
He was met with pictures of a car park, the camera was seemingly being held by someone walking through the parked cars. Although, fortunately, there was a second camera which displayed the incident under the examination.
Later Maccabi Haifa was awarded the penalty after the referee re-checked the footage, making them win the game by 3-1 against Baitar Jerusalem.

Irrespective of continents VAR has once again managed to create another bizarre moment on the pitch, bringing its implementation under the current form into doubt.
Many fans around the world are rooting for scrapping the technology as its aim was to reduce the number of controversies but ironically it is adding to the sum.

However, the case with VAR has not been so poor in different leagues, Bundesliga started it earliest in the top leagues and has adapted well to the implementation, even Serie A and La Liga have raised their standards in its usage.
Meanwhile, there have been a minuscule amount of controversies related to VAR and was lauded when Manchester City was denied a crucial goal against Tottenham in the quarter-final round during the last season.
Nevertheless, with all its imperfections, VAR has to be revised for its better usage and in order to fulfil its purpose in the game.
