Virat Kohli Diet Plan: Of late Virat Kohli has turned into a vegan for attaining better all-round fitness.

Apart from scoring runs in bulk across conditions and opposition and achieving gargantuan feats, Indian captain Virat Kohli is also known for his supreme level of fitness so much so that he is believed to have started a trend regarding laying emphasis on this facet of the sport in the Indian team.

When he came into the scene during the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2008 and making his debut the same year, Kohli was a highly chubby self of what he is today. He might have been fit in those times with the prevalent criteria but what the 29-year old right-hand batsman has achieved since is unbelievable.

Leave aside cricket, Kohli has become one of the fittest athletes across sports, something which is easier said than done, especially after considering the intense competition in the contemporary sporting world.

In a few interviews, Kohli had earlier disclosed that non-vegetarian food is a vital part of his meal plan. That being said, according to a recent development, Kohli has fully converted into a vegan, where protein shakes, vegetables and soya have replaced meat, eggs and dairy-based products from his strenuous diet.

“Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy,” a close source revealed. It is said that this change in diet has had a significant affect on Kohli’s temperament, making him more calm and composed on the field and happier off it.

“Two years ago, when he was on a normal diet, he had said that he would go vegan if given a choice. He is now feeling stronger than before,” the source added.

Below are some of the latest Twitter reactions regarding Kohli:

What followed for an 8-year-old was an instant adulation for both Ganguly and the sport. The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
