There was a lot of hype around Kohli’s County stint for Surrey. Cricket pundits applauded his move to prepare himself well in order to put up a good show in the Test series against England. However, due to a back injury that he picked up during an IPL match against SRH, Kohli was ruled out of the County stint.

As per reports, Kohli is seeing an orthopaedic surgeon in Mumbai concerning a back injury. While Mumbai Mirror reported that Kohli was diagnosed a herniated disc which could lead to his missing the Test series in August if he is not careful with his workload, other reports state otherwise.
Kohli’s back has still not recovered completely. This is the reason why he is not able to lift heavy weights. But he has compensated that by running. He posted a picture of him in the gym on Sunday.
Can’t do weights yet but can run instead! 🏃🏻 Find a way even on a Sunday! 🤓 pic.twitter.com/3DUvs4WEe1
