Virat Kohli responds to Amitabh Bachchan's tweet on Notebook Celebration in Hyderabad T20I

Virat Kohli responds to Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet: The Indian captain acknowledged the legendary actor’s hilarious tweet from last night.

India captain Virat Kohli allured plentiful congratulatory messages for sealing yet another masterly chase in the first T20I of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad last night.

From not being able to time the ball properly for the first 20 balls he faced to him hitting those effortless boundaries over cover to seal a 208-run chase in the penultimate over, Kohli’s 23rd T20I half-century traveled a significant arc.

Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the fourth over, Kohli stitched a 100-run partnership alongside opening batsman Lokesh Rahul (62) to lay a solid foundation for his team. Once Rahul got out in the 14th over, Kohli took the onus on himself and dictated terms at will as he hopped into the second half of his innings.

Apart from Kohli hitting six fours and six sixes, the uber-entertaining knock saw him expressing plentiful emotions. The highest point of his knock came in the 16th over when Kohli’s supreme flick off West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams was followed by the “Notebook celebration”.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was among the many who tweeted for Kohli with respect to his celebration yesterday. Bachchan quoted a dialogue from Manmohan Desai’s ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ (1977) with respect to Kohli’s celebration.

“I have told you many times that you shouldn’t tease Virat but you never listen to me. Now he has written it on a paper and handed it over to you. Look at the face of the West Indian team. Kohli hit them really hard,” read Bachchan’s tweet when translated in English.
