MS Dhoni will soon join the Indian team to spice it up in the limited-overs as well as the T20I series against Sri Lanka after the conclusion of Feroz Shah Kotla Test. Dhoni must have had spent some quality time off the field in the Armed Forces suit.

Coming back to the topic, MS Dhoni’s consistency has been a matter of concern. Some pundits feel that Dhoni has lost the sheen in his career and his form has raised quite a many eyebrows. With his presence, India are always getting benefited.
With just a year left in the cards for the upcoming World Cup, VVS Laxman and Harbhajan Singh spoke about MS Dhoni’s cricketing future for the next major event. According to Harbhajan, Dhoni needs to keep beefing up his scores to be a part of the potential playing XI.
“One year is a lot and in Indian cricket, there are a lot of changes every day. Experience is there but form and everything matters. Dhoni is a big player but (the) World Cup is far off and Dhoni has to keep performing to be a part of the 11,” said Harbhajan according to Aaj Tak.
VVS Laxman doesn’t think that Kohli is protecting Dhoni and the latter has quite an amount of role to play in the next World Cup. Laxman added further saying that Kohli is handling Dhoni quite well as similar to what Ganguly did to Sachin after calling it quits from captaincy career.
“I don’t think Kohli is protecting Dhoni. He’s above all that and he has a very important role to play in the 2019 World Cup. Kohli is handling Dhoni very well; much like (how) Sourav handled Sachin when he resigned from captaincy,” VVS Laxman added.
Laxman said that Virat Kohli is giving the clear-cut chances to MS Dhoni and it is palpable that Dhoni is making most of it. “Kohli is giving the right opportunities to MS Dhoni and he takes help from him. He has no ego and I feel Dhoni will have to play a huge hand,” Laxman added.
