A win tonight will see them through to the knockout stages of the Europa league and Manchester United now have one foot in it after scoring twice before the end of the first half. Teenage sensation Mason Greenwood broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a composed finish.
The young forward then helped set the second goal 12 minutes later after applying pressure on Partizan to help Anthony Martial pick up a loose ball. The French striker collected the ball and then showed exactly why he is so highly rated by his manager.

Anthony Martial was in a dangerous position to score the minute he received the ball. However, he had to dribble past a few players to give himself a clear shot. Martial began his attack by cutting inside away from Pavlovic.
He used his pace to see away further challenges and kept the ball under control until he finally had the goal in his sight. He tucked the ball under the keeper to double Manchester United’s lead; the first time since January that United have scored twice in the first half of a game at Old Trafford

At the time of writing both teams have left the pitch for the half-time break. United lead the match 2-0. However, they could have tripled the lead if not for Martial’s miss that went miles over the bar. The club will still be buzzing at the break though.
This is only the second time that they’ve scored more than twice at the Old Trafford this season. They first did it during their 4-0 victory over Chelsea on the opening day. They are well on their way to inflict a similar crushing loss to Partizan tonight.
