Antonio Conte gets sent off

Diego Costa is a funny old character isn’t he?

At Atletico, he became one of the most feared strikers in world football, as he helped the Madrid side to win La Liga and almost clinch the Champions League.

After his move to Chelsea, he provided the goals which gave Chelsea two Premier league titles in his three seasons at the London club.

But things don’t look too good at the moment, as the Brazilian born Spanish striker is refusing to play for the club that pays his wages.

Costa has made it pretty clear that he will not play for Chelsea again, and has mentioned how he feels like he is being treated like a criminal by the club.

“It’s not my fault that I’m not at the club – if it was down to me I’d be playing,” he said

“It’s already been one month. Holidays are good but it gets tiresome.”

“It won’t be the same as before [between him and Conte] and we don’t know if the fight for the position will be fair,” he said.

“Because of me having exposed the [text] message I understand that he’ll be annoyed, so if I go back I have to see if things would be clean, just and correct.”

“That’s how I like things. If I go back now I don’t think it will be a fair situation. It won’t be an honest fight for a position [in the team].”

When told about Costa’s interview in the pre-match conference, Conte started laughing hysterically and said that he found Costa’s interview quite funny.

This is what Conte had to say,

“For me, it is in the past.

“Everyone in Chelsea knows very well what happened last season with Diego.”
