With all the talk surrounding Alexis Sanchez and Mkhitaryan, Manchester United went into this game with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham breathing down their neck in the Premier League table.
Jose Mourinho wanted a win, and the team he dished out looked like one that was up on pace and skill.
Paul Pogba slotting into that free flowing midfield role has given Manchester United another dimension, and it seems like he just needs a good run of games in order to come back to his best.
Pogba started tonight’s game on the front foot, driving forward and trying to make things happen for the forward line consisting of Lingard, Martial, Lukaku and Mata.
In the build up to the goal, Pogba carried the ball forward from the left and then dished out a delightful, incisive pass to Valencia, who was gulping up yards on the right. Valencia controlled the ball with his right, quickly shifted it to his left and unleashed a brilliant curler into the top corner to give Manchester United the lead.

Jose Mourinho would be hoping that Pogba can excel in his midfield, box-to-box role, and with Sanchez all but set to come in, United seem to have a very exciting attacking line up for the 2nd half of the season.
