WATCH: Arjun Tendulkar bowls an absolute gem to dismiss Surrey opening batsman during Second XI championship in England

Arjun Tendulkar bowls an absolute gem to dismiss the Surrey opening batsman while playing for MCC Young Cricketers in England

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulakar, bowled an absolute ripper of a delivery to dismiss the Surrey opening batsman during the ongoing  Second XI championship in England.

Arjun, who made headlines around the world when he made it through to the India U-19 squad was representing the MCC Young Cricketers when he clean bowled  Nathan Tilley with a beautiful incoming delivery on the first ball of the third over.

The 19-year old returned with the figures of 2/50. He bowled at a decent economy rate of 4.55 in his eleven overs, consisting of two maidens as well.

Despite a beautiful display of fast-bowling by Arjun,  Surrey 2nd XI, went on to score 340/6 while MCC Young Cricketers currently trail by 227 runs with 4 wickets in hand.

Made headlines with his maiden U-19 call

The tall Southpaw all-rounder made haealines last year, when he earned his maiden call for India U-19 for the Youth Test match against Sri Lanka. He has since then, not looked back and apart from bowling with serious raw pace, also makes some valuable contributions in the middle-order with the bat.

He is also a part of the Mumbai Under-23 team and made some valuable contributions with both bat and ball for his side Aakash Tigers in the recently concluded T20 Mumbai League 2019.

Talking about the magical delivery he bowled on Monday, the left-arm pacer bowled a quick incoming delivery to right-handed Tilley from over the wicket. The ball swung in sharp after hitting the deck to leave the batsmen bamboozled as it crashed into the off and middle stump.

Although the Legend’s son has to thread a long way to even come close to what his father’s accomplishments on the Cricket field, he is surely proving his mettle time and again in whatever opportunities he has got so far. Alike Sachin, he had also started to make a mark at quite an early age, and only time will tell whether he manager to carry on his father’s legacy in Indian colours in the upcoming years.
