Australian Prime Minister and Pant

Australian Prime Minister and Pant: The Australian Prime Minister and the Indian wicket-keeper batsman were seen sharing a fun moment.

Indian cricket team’s meeting with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison yesterday witnessed Morrison sharing a lighter moment with India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.

The event also included the Australian cricket team as Morrison hosted both India and Australia at his official residence, the Kirribilli House in Sydney on New Year’s day.

India captain Virat Kohli led his team for the official photograph with the Australian Prime Minister. Kohli, World’s No. 1 batsman, received plentiful approbation from Morrison as he claimed Kohli to be his ‘cricket crush’.

“It now gives me great pleasure to introduce…I’ve got a total cricket crush [a major admirer of his cricket skill] on this guy. Mr. Virat Kohli, known worldwide as the best batsmen in the world and that passion that he brings on the pitch and on the field is just so exciting to watch…even though I hope you lose this week,” the Australian Prime Minister said to introduce Kohli.

However, the highlight of the meeting was when Pant was introduced to Morrison. “Ahh yes! You sledge right?,” Morrison was quoted as saying to Pant as both of them shared a laugh. Watch the full video below (0:34):

Morrison’s remark came on the back of Pant’s regular involvement in banters with various Australian batsmen throughout the series.

It is worth mentioning that Pant has been constantly in the ears of the Australian batsmen. Pant has had a few things to say to the Australian batsmen in this series which include Usman Khawaja, Pat Cummins and Paine.
