The pressure on Antonio Conte was palpable today, right from the time he made his way into the ‘John Smith’s’ stadium, as Chelsea just had to get those 3 points in tonight, as a loss at West Ham on the weekend meant that Chelsea had a dug hole for themselves, on a weekend when Manchester United had left the door open.

The West Ham loss hit Chelsea hard, as the Hammers had been playing shambolic football all season long. But Moyes’ men turned up with heart on Saturday, and completely blew away a dispirited Chelsea.

With Morata out due to a back injury, Conte wanted his men to stand up tonight, play with character and get the job done, away at Huddersfield, a place that even Manchester City found hard to conquer.

But the Blues reacted, and emphatically so, pulling off some slick passing in the early stages of the game, and then constructing the near perfect move to help Bakayoko unleash a cute little finish to put Chelsea ahead.

The ball was played into Hazard in the middle of the pitch, and he flicked it onto Willian, to split the Huddersfield defence; Willian then slotted it through for Bakayoko to jump on the ball and put it into the back of the net.

Chelsea seem to be in full control of the game and Antonio Conte would be hoping to get that second goal quickly and put the game to bed.
