After all the hype and build up, the Federer-Cilic was quite an underwhelming final.
Federer breezed past the Cilic en route to his eight Wimbledon title. The Swiss was in imperious form, as he wrapped up the first set 6-3.
The second set was even more of a walk over as Federer won it 6-1, with the Croatian barely putting up a fight.

But the shot of the match happened during this particular rally when the Swiss showed all his class with this imperious winner.

Cilic looked like a beaten man halfway through the second set as the big man was visibly quite weak. The Croatian was in deep conversation with his physio as many feared that the final would end up much before expected.
Federer, at the ripe old age of 35, looked much the fitter man as he moved freely and looked like a young boy all over again.
He played around with the big man, took him close to the net and then produced a gorgeous backhand winner to earn a wonderful point.
All hail the King!
